The key box is the little brother of the key cabinet. It is a lockable container, mostly made of iron, sheet metal or steel. Your keys are clearly arranged and all gathered in one place. Usually the keys are attached to higher adjustable hook rails / hooks. You can choose your key box depending on the model lock with key or lock with a combination lock.

There is no difference - both are key storage options that can be hung on the wall and locked. There are different numbers of keys in it, depending on the model. With the larger models, there is the option of adjusting the hook rails in the grid system. The matching key rings are usually included in the scope of delivery.

You are the master of the key and decide who has access to you. One person, several people - e.g. nursing staff, property management, cleaning staff etc. You will appreciate the new order that your key box offers you. No more tiresome searching in all possible places.

 PRIVATE USE OR COMMERCIAL USE?

  • Private use

If you have a large number of keys, a key cabinet is recommended. If you only have a few, a key box or the even smaller, also very practical, key box is sufficient in the private sector.

  • Commercial use

Large companies will not get by with a key cassette and will therefore fall back on a key box or a key cabinet. The robust key boxes are particularly suitable for this. Perfect key management is a must-have in today's world. If you don't have one yet - this purchase is definitely worth it!

Key boxes are suitable for:

  • Car dealerships
  • Hotel, gastronomy
  • Companies, offices.

Most likely you will mount it on a wall. There are differences between outdoor and indoor installation. Think about the weather! We would be happy to advise you if you are still undecided.

OUTDOOR MOUNTING

Outside you need a weatherproof key box. You will likely install an emergency key box so that emergency responders can enter the house. An electronic lock is unsuitable - wet!

INTERIOR MOUNTING

Weather conditions do not affect your key box if it is inside your house. You can also use an electronic lock here.

ANCHORING

Many keys weigh a lot. To ensure that no "accident" happens, please always use the correct fastening material. Large key cabinets may even have to be walled in. In this case you should check the soil condition. This will not be the case with a key box.

Of course that is your decision. In addition to private individuals, you could e.g. the key box for

  • Nursing staff
  • Emergency services - rescue, fire brigade, police
  • Employees, employees
  • Property management, gardener

The first step is to open the lock of the key box. The following variants are available for safes:

The most common form of lock in this type of safe is the key lock. Here you simply unlock with one of the two keys

There is also the option of opening the container using a combination lock or a combination lock

You use an electronic lock or also known as a combination lock.

You can then easily remove your keys from the container.

A key box is basically without a security level or resistance level.
